Snowflakes

(3 years and over)

YOU WILL NEED

  • colorful squares thin paper (any size)
  • Scissors

Fold paper square in half, then fold in half again.

Two side of the square will have only folds, and no raw edges - fold these two sides together to make a triangle.

Around the outsidde edges of the shape, cut small V shapes, half circles or any designs so that there is a hole left where the shape is cut and the edges are no longer straight.  Unfold paper for the snowflake.

Older children can cut more intricate snowflakes by folding the squares into eighths . Younger children may need help with cutting.
