Paper Kites

(All Ages)

YOU WILL NEED

  • large piece of thick paper or cardboard
  • string
  • pva glue
  • paint
  • brush
  • tissue paper, bits and pieces to be stuck on
  • crepe paper or streamers for the tail
  • Plastic Straws
  • sticky tape

Paint and decorate a piece of paper or cardboard. When dry, cut out a kite shape. turn over and stick straws to the edges of the kite for reinforcement.  Stick on string at one end for holding. At other end, create the tail by again sticking on string and adding twisted  bows from crepe paper and streamers.

When all string is tied and reinforced well, let the children hold onto the string and run!
